Sossusvlei is a salt and clay pan surrounded by high red dunes, located in the southern part of the Namib Desert, in the Nambib-Naukluft National Park of Namibia.

There are a number of wonderful attractions to be enjoyed around Sossusvlei, including Sesriem Canyon, Dune 45, Hiddenvlei, Big Daddy and Dedvlei. All of these attractions can be accessed from the road that takes you to Sossusvlei, and are all well worth a visit.
